Your lessons will be taught by a highly qualified musician with a Bachelor of Music Degree. You will learn how to read music and play the piano with proper technique as well as develop an appreciation for the instrument.

What Should I Expect From Private Violin Lessons?
Private violin lessons can be taken in half hour or one hour settings. Lessons are taught by a professional violinist with experience in teaching and performing both solo and orchestral music. Lessons are available for beginning through advanced students and are structured around each individuals student's abilities and goals.
Here is what you can expect from your lessons:
- Essential techniques including correct hand positions, and proper violin and bow holds. Equal attention must be given to both the violin and the bow, as neither can work without the other.
- Correct care for your instrument (cleaning, tuning, etc.)
- Proper ways to warm up, including physical stretches as well as scales and exercises on the violin.
- Guidance for the student's at-home practice so that the most can be made of each weekly lesson.
- Basic music theory skills will also be included in the lessons and beginning students will learn how to read music.
- Exposure to a variety of musical styles. As students advance, they are encouraged to seek out music that interest and excite them.
- Most important of all - students will have fun! Violin will require at-home practice, but the excitement of accomplishing something new each week is very rewarding!
